Two-Step Clay Peel

Avoid all retinols and resurfacing ingredients for at least 72 hours prior to treatment.

Avoid all forms of exfoliation for at least 24 hours prior to treatment.

Prescription tretinoin or similar products, should be discontinued at least 72 hours prior to treatment.

Please try to arrive without face makeup on, as we would like to spend as much time as possible on the treatment itself. However, we understand that this may not always be possible.

Ensure you have completed all required consent & pre/post care intake forms prior to your treatment

Please notify your Aesthetician of any concerns, changes in medication, etc.

Step 1: An AFA Clay Masque is applied to the skin to pre-exfoliate and draw out oils and impurities. This step exfoliates and purifies the skin!Step 2: A concentrated AFA Antioxidant Gel Peel is then applied. It is designed to work synergistically with the Clay Masque. This step repairs and brightens the skin!

AFA products are formulated with highly-potent, stabilized antioxidants and powerful exfoliants which, contradicting their efficacy, produce little to no irritation/downtime (unlike the commons AHAs, ie. glycolic acids).

Most clients experience only minor, temporary erythema after treatment. This is very normal. Some exfoliation or flaking of skin can occur for 24-48 hours after treatment.

Avoid exercise and anything that creates heat for 24 hours.

Use a freshly clean pillow case and clean cell phone.

Avoid other laser and skin treatments for 2 weeks.

Makeup can be applied after 24 hours

Patients will notice improvement in smoothness, touch and texture of skin.

Treatment series are unique to clients skin concerns and goals. But for many skin concerns, (including photopigmentation, as well as other visible photoaging) we recommend a series of approximately 6 or more consecutive applications, with each application being 2 weeks apart for dramatically improved, soft and smooth skin.

Further discussion about treatment series can be discussed during our consultation. After this, an ongoing maintenance regimen is encouraged on a monthly basis or according to patient preference.
