Laser Hair Removal

Do not pluck or wax hair at least 4 weeks prior to beginning treatment series.

Please shave all hair in treated area 24-48 hours prior to treatment.

Avoid tanning to treated area 4 weeks prior to beginning treatment series.

Allow self-tanning products to fade (2 weeks)

Avoid skin irritants (Retin A, etc.) for at least 72 hours prior to treatment.

Do not use photosensitive drugs for 7 days prior to treatment.

Ensure you have completed all required consent & pre/post care intake forms prior to your treatment

Please notify your Aesthetician of any concerns, changes in medication, etc.

Immediately following your CoolGlide treatment, the area may appear a bit red, tender and swollen.

Three to seven days after treatment you may experience what seems to be regrowth of hair. Actually, most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment and are not regrowing.

Between treatments you should not wax or pluck your hair, but feel free to shave!

Blisters may occur in sensitive areas. Should this occur, an antibiotic ointment (ie. polysporin) can be applied daily until healed.

Avoid exercise, hot tubs, or anything that may result in sweat for at least 24 hours.

Most areas require approximately 6-8 treatments. However, the number of CoolGlide treatments required for optimal long-term benefits depends on multiple factors – hair thickness, the area treated, skin type, and your hair’s growth cycle. Interestingly, not all hairs are actively growing at the same time and actually go through three distinct phases: growth, regression, and resting. CoolGlide treatments work by disabling the hair that is principally in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter this active growth phase at different times, additional treatments may be necessary to disable all of the hair follicles in a given area. After completing your treatment series, touch-ups may be required as needed to target new hair growth. This is a hair reduction treatment. Results are not guaranteed. The goal is to achieve 60-95% less hair.
